Your trans/t-case combo is crazy long! What did Dodge use in a short wheelbase vehicle, like the old Ramcharger???

That's one thought that I'm considering.
Just have to look into the mounting. It would certainly ride better.

After 1996 they changed the whole drive train when they went to the 4.7 Engine. I've got to use this engine/trans/t-case so I have to figure a work around.

Is it possible to get a shorter adapter for between the trans and transfer case? Or maybe make one?

With the decision to go with the carburetor instead of the EFI I started getting most of the crapola off the engine. Then I decided it needs to be bored .040 over, new heads and a new cam to make it MOpar BETTER.
I started with the shortening of the frame by 5". Got it cut, pulled into place, leveled, squared and ready to weld up tomorrow. I'm doing the stuff that doesn't cost anything till I can sell my Yearlings the end of March. Hopefully the cattle market isn't in the tank because of this Covid Crap.

If beef prices at my grocery store are any indicator, the cattle market should be booming. But I'll admit to not knowing much about the ins and outs of the market.
The splice looks nice. ![]()

Good plan on the engine, the frame cuts were done with precision.
